As a member of the policy and public affairs team, I contributed to influencing public policy in the interests of people affected by cystic fibrosis.Policy Analysis & Development- Producing landscape reviews and analysis of a broad range of policy areas including medicines regulation, NHS services such as transplant, welfare rights and anti-microbial resistance. Development of policy positions internally and coordinating external advocacy work to advance these positions, while providing progress updates to senior management.Stakeholder Management & Collaborations- Building and Maintaining external relationships with stakeholders including health services, charity coalitions and policymakers. Working with international and national collaborators on projects including European medicines access and welfare policies.

Co-authored the Demos report, "A Society of Readers". A project that provided research on the impact reading can have on improving particular social issues: loneliness, mental health support, dementia, and social (im)mobility. Further research carried out during my time at Demos included:Contributed writing and statistical analysis for research on the wider social and economic cost of living with and beyond cancer, including a write up of UK health policy on cancer. Provided statistical analysis concerning the number of unpaid care workers in the UK, estimating their value to the UK economy. Research and writing a first draft literature review on the effect of pension reforms on the annuities marketResearch on elements of 'community wealth building' strategies used by Preston City Council, as well as effect of worker-owned cooperatives across the world
