CurrentTom Steiner is the engagement executive for a variety of Deloitte Teams, including projects with states, CMS and payer organizations. He has 25+ years of public sector actuarial consulting experience. Mr. Steiner’s clients have primarily included more than 20 state Medicaid Agencies, including several of the largest agencies in the country. Tom works closely with his clients and his Deloitte team to ensure project work is designed and delivered to meet the client’s strategic priorities. His work in Medicaid has spanned all populations, with a concentration on behavioral health and the developmentally disabled. His CMS experience includes working with CMMI in designing a national Medicare value based payment program. For CCIIO, he employed HealthPrism – a predictive analytics platform focused on early prediction and intervention for a variety of disease conditions – to better understand current and future medical cost drivers. Mr. Steiner has also consulted to state Departments of Insurance, state Employee Agencies, Managed Care Organizations, and hospital and physician provider groups. He regularly presents to a variety of stakeholders, including Governor cabinet-level committees, provider groups and health plans.
