QUADRIGA is a leading international supplier of guest technology managed services to hoteliers.Employed as their Test Manager, under an initiative to develop and deploy a cohesive digital ‘product family’ in a multi-project environment.Responsibilities covered:-·- Recruitment and day-to-day management of a dedicated test team (8 people), embracing both manual and automated testing activities (Segue toolset)- Ongoing integration, performance, resiliency and pre-deployment testing of both software and custom hardware components, in conjunction with both internal and external developers and other company personnel- Selection, purchase and effective utilisation of test automation software (Segue’s SilkPlanPro / SilkTest and SilkPerformer tools were deployed)- Provision and management of dedicated Test facilities, fully representative of multiple customer hotel environments, plus all elements of Quadriga’s centralised “Hub” operations - Definition and implementation of corporate QA and Test Management policies, standards and processes commensurate with the companies’ RAD-based approach and timelines

Engaged on contract, as a Test Analyst, by WebX Limited, a company specialising in the provision of modular, component-based software to the Insurance sector. The role encompassed:-- Hands-on unit, performance and resiliency testing of OO component-ware, in close co-ordination with both in-house developers and the corporate customer-base- Ongoing development and improvement of the company test strategy, together with the deployment of appropriately structured operational processes and test proceduresTypically, the application environment encompassed multi-tier, UNIX and Windows NT based-based architectures, utilising Java (EJB & JSP); Weblogic and XML based components, integrated with a SQLServer or Oracle database
