Next came sales and brand management jobs with Colgate-Palmolive -- an industry with such similar products, marketing rules. Then I worked at Ogilvy & Mather for 20+ years, from Account Executive to Management Supervisor-Sr. VP, and also wrote books on KLM’s Amsterdam. Major travel accounts were American Express, British Travel, Cunard, Hertz, Marriott, TWA. Also worked for clients such as Hershey, International Paper, Merrill Lynch, Sears, Shell Oil and Toro. Left Ogilvy for my own company, Marketing a la Carte, Ltd., a suburban New York agency. Clients are really spread out: everything from Bermuda Underwater Exploratory Institute to Microedge, a leading software designer for foundation grant-giving management to Silver Dollar City in Branson MO marketing a new cruise boat.
