I am a molecular microbiologist with a Ph.D in biochemistry and 9 years research experience in infectious disease. My research has largely focused on applied research projects with the goal of preventing and improving the treatment of infectious disease. I have attained extensive experience in DNA cloning, protein purification, protein engineering, in vitro assay development, in vitro and in vivo drug testing, metabolomics and bioenergetics. I am a strong advocate of collaborative science, and pride myself as an excellent researcher with a strong work ethic. The research projects I have been involved in have been highly collaborative, which has required effective communication to ensure our research goals were attained.I am currently looking for a position in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry, with a focus in infectious disease drug development.

My research focuses on the bioenergetics of M. tuberculosis and trying to understand the broader role of these components in vivo and how we can target these components to improve the current drug regimens. Using metabolomics, in vitro and in vivo drug screening, and bioenergetics we are exploring synergistic drug combinations that may have improved clinical efficacy.
