Throughout my Master of Research and Undergraduate programmes I have researched cognitive psychology, with emphasis upon how individual differences in anxiety and depression impacted auditory distraction. through doing this I have , developed a large portfolio of skills which I believe would make me the perfect candidate for this PhD. While studying my Master of Research, I became fluent in the application of qualitative and quantitative research methods, as well as many of the associated computer programs, (for example; OpenSeaseme, NVivo, SPSS, Eye tracking software and Qualtrics). This ensures that I am proficient at conducting and completing various forms of psychological experiments. For the last five years I have enjoyed a role at the Countess of Chester Clinical Engineering department. Here I have worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team and managing my own workload. This includes a multitude of database related tasks, answering phones and coordinating our team with other departments around the hospital site, as well as assisting engineers in repairs and general day to day support of the trust.
