Started working on a system integration (SI) project using React, Next.js and Spring Boot.One of the architects of an in-house drone tracking engine, a tool for pilots and staff to track and control their unmanned vehicles within a visually-pleasing 3D environment, inspired by mission planner. Involved in developing the UI (Google Maps API, Three.js, Vue), the API (kotlin), the mavlink server (python).Had exposure to working on-site and had to dig deep to overcome some of the networking issues encountered outdoors.Gained valuable insights into communication within the drone industry, including TCP, UDP and MQTT protocols and Pixhawk.Additional experience on a side project involving web-components.

I've already seen a handful of projects, big and small, from start to finish. Along the way I've been helping make important architectural decisions as well as tackling core pieces of functionality. From working here I've gained invaluable insight to the lifecycle of a web-based project and learnt new front-end skills (Vue.js/ vanilla JS).

Researched and implemented new technologies relating to passwordless, security authentication: MFA, SAML, OAth 2.0, Open ID connect etc.Helped develop the in-house management web-app using Java (Spring, MyBatis) APIs and React JS front-end.

Helped co-manage the extensively increased demand of sales at the seafront kiosk caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Responsible for ordering stock, hiring and training staff, enforcing social distance measures while opening and closing the shop.

Worked as part of a large temporary cleaning team of great people at the hospital looking to do our bit to help tackle the initial stages of the global pandemic crisis. I learnt a lot about how a large operation such as a hospital runs and received deeper insight into how the UK coped in the early stages of the outbreak.

In this position I taught middle-school Korean students second language English full-time on a one year contract. Typically I spent my day teaching, marking essays and planning lessons. I took a lot from this role, working in a Korean environment for the first time. I finished my year contract with no issues.

In our agile team, developed and maintained our travel info aggregator "FAB". Top client Thomas Cook among others used our search and book APIs.Integrated new suppliers, enhancements, bug fixing.Used Java, Spring, Maven, MySQL, Ubuntu linux, Jira.

Created and managed e-commerce software for product development and client websites. Contributed and implemented ideas for a machine learning application for predictive booking patterns. Gained understanding of Google Adwords by helping create a product designed to induce marketing optimisation.Wrote in Java, practised in JSON, managed API structure with JavaScript developers.Used Git/ GitHub to organise projects and MongoDB, a NoSQL database.Server-side: performed maintenance on Linux servers with the bash shell. This included test and live deployments, exception checking (for bug-fixing) and HTTP request supervisation using Nginx.
