Tax assistant as part of the EY tax team in Limerick as part of my cooperative education with the university of Limerick. My daily tasks included that of preparing and filing corporation tax returns for large multinational company’s, organising the teams group meetings, being in charge of filing for the clients I worked on including managing an online database for each client and also managing the introduction of a newly developed tax app into the local office. The work was done remotely from March onwards due to COVID-19.

I have worked for two years as a waiter and barman in the Lough inn Bar and restaurant. My duties include opening up the business in the morning during which i thoroughly clean the premises including sweeping,mopping cleaning all tables and ensuring there is sufficient stock for the coming day. As a waiter I take food and drink orders, I take over the phone bookings, set up for any such bookings and table plan accordingly As a waiter I take food orders and serve accordingly. During summer days I run the restaurant by myself during some shifts and the responsibilities are left to myself. I also work night shifts each weekend as a barman, I enjoy working with the public on such a consistent basis and find that my people skills are my greatest asset as an employee.

During the Summer of 2019, I travelled to Chicago on a J1 Holiday and working Visa. During my time in Chicago, I worked in Chief O'Neills Irish Bar. During this time I worked in several roles such as food runner, host, waiter and bussing tables. During this time I got a feel for international culture as well as how to serve customers on an international basis in what was a busy and fast-paced environment. Working in each role on the team gave me an idea of how integral each position is to the smooth running of the business as a whole. I also felt it showed my innovative skills to be able to slot into any position on the team with ease.

I worked as a front end cashier in the retail store Homestore and More. My duties included manning the till while also taking multiple stock takes and aiding customers find in store products. I stocked shelves from the stock room and accounted for each product ensuring an accurate stock count was had at all times. I also helped the clean up of the store at the end of each day and facing off each product rail so that the product was neater and more appealing to each customer.
