Managing Director

Learning Pie is a friendly, approachable learning design consultancy specialising in creative, bespoke e-learning. We focus on Story-based Learning. Our "Introduction to Computing" course, hosted by Udemy, find a link here: https://eyedunnow.com/ uses stories to teach IT. Set in Eye Dunnow, is one of the Lost Towns that has the job of running the Internet. But, it is under attack from The Hacker and it falls to our heroes, Peta and Zeta Byte, to learn enough about Computing to save it.In the town, computer concepts are real; packets of data stream under the buildings and are managed by an indentured group of workers called the Servers. Who sit in racks suspended over the rushing torrents of data packets. The town has distinct areas, the Programming district, the Graphics Zone, the Memory Palace (which keeps getting smaller as it stores more data), the Databases with their silos of data, the ISP Trading Floor, and the bug swamp, to name but a few.The characters they meet include Python the programmer, Doc works in the library, Gooey who is the designer, Pop the rogue server, the dangerous DBA who runs the Data Silos, and many more. All the while they are being attacked by monstrous email Worms and Computer viruses such as the deadly space-filler.Follow the story, and learn with them, as they find out how to code in Python, create Web Pages in HTML, run SQL queries, connect with PHP, develop mobile Apps in Java and see how computers work, all to save the town, and the Internet, from destruction. And, maybe, help out some of their friends along the way.At Learning Pie, we can help with any stage of a project from identifying the learning objectives, scripting the content and producing storyboards to the creation of a single e-learning programme or a multi-course package. Our aim is to provide quality e-learning that always exceeds the expectations of our customers.
