Amazing Radio is a national radio station specialising in championing new and emerging music.Starting as a Producer in 2009 I was given the role of Head of Music in 2010 with the remit of devising a music policy for Amazing Radio and implementing a playlist system that would deliver that policy.As part of this process I introduced a weekly playlist meeting. I run the playlist meeting where all presenters and producers are invited to submit tracks and attend to discuss the music.I have established relationships with artists, managers, labels and PR's to introduce them to the concept of Amazing Radio. I continue to maintain these relationships to ensure we can play the best new music possible and work with artists to create compelling content.In addition to my role as Head of Music I produce Shell Zenner's weekly show. I have also previously produced The Amazing Radio Chart.I was instrumental in organising outside broadcasts at The Great Escape Festival where I was Executive Producer. I also book the artists for stages curated by Amazing Radio at The Great Escape. In 2011 I initiated the Amazing Radio end of year Tips list, where we tipped the likes of Daughter, Alt-J, Bastille & Haim.I have represented Amazing Radio at several conferences and events, speaking on panels about new music and how we work with artists.Responsibilities:- Managing and maintaining our playout system (P Squared Myraid and Auto-track).- Working closely with Presenters and Producers to make sure their clocks are implemented to compliment their show format.- Go through the daily logs to make sure the flow and mood of the music is correct.- Writing the weekly industry playlist email.- Compiling the quarterly PRS Report.- Editing interviews and creating web content for Shell Zenner.- Writing and scheduling social media updates.- Liaising with artists, labels and PR's to ensure we have all the latest releases and they have all the tracking data.
