About Tom Daly

I have over twenty years exerience in childrens books with an emphasis on designing art-intensive books such as picture books, middle grades and graphic novels. Recently I have developed the workflow procedures, best practices and production schedules for the Books for Young Readers graphic novels at Simon & Schuster in my current position as Manger of Art & Design.Working closely with our in-house prepress department has given me in-depth technical skills in the production of mechanicals, PDFs, and a clear understanding of printers’ needs.Having a background as an illustrator I am very comfortable designing heavily illustrated material and working with illustrators to get the most out of their work.I also self-publish my own comics. Two of which are in the Library of Congress’s Small Press Collection.
