Beating out three competing proposals, Gowrie was able to install a fully insured plan with a reimbursment arrangement that saved money and maintained quality benefits.- A non-profit employer was surprised by a 25% increase in their fully insured medical rates and had no access to claims data that might help explain why. Gowrie was able to install a self funded plan with level and guaranteed claims funding that brought the renewal increase down to 5% and provides plan flexibility, access to claims information, and return of any excess claims funding.- A municipality requested proposals from five agencies, including Gowrie. In the face of a 2% medical renewal increase and a well known incumbent, all but Gowrie declined because they could not be competitive. Gowrie was able to make two proposals, one fully insured and one self funded, that met union stipulations and were more cost effective than the renewal.
