In 1988 I started Auditel, a telecommunications company that analyzed telephone revenue, expenses and PBX configurations at hotel and resorts around the world. As an outcome of consulting in Singapore I invented, developed the technology and created a business - DataFax - of sending international faxes at a huge reduction in costs. This business is no longer in existence because of the reduction of telephone costs around the world. The latest activity was DataFax in the Bahamas.During the last ten years Marriott Vacation Clubs International (MVCI) was my primary client. At MVCI the company used me to negotiate contracts with vendors and correct errors in the data network configuration.

MotoFino USA is a manufacturer of mopeds (motor scooters) in China and the company sells them to dealers throughout the United States. MotoFino has its own factories and produces one of the finest scooters on the market. During my consultancy at MotoFino, the company expanded into a successful division of manufacturing truck parts. While a consultant to MotoFino it experienced tremendous growth and profitability. Mr. Fay oversaw the sales and financial side of the company.

My responsibilities at MVCI included evaluating the telecommunication costs and revenue at the approximately fifty time-share properties of MVCI. I also performed the evaluations at the corporate, data, and call centers of MVCI. When the recommendations were approved by the corporate office I would then oversee the implementation of the recommendations.In addition I performed a PBX security audit at all the properties to make sure that outside fraud could no exist.Major purchases were often reviewed by me and I negotiated for additional discounts in the purchases.I also evaluated telecommunication products and services to determine the true cost of implementation.I also oversaw several other projects including the Federal Excise Tax rebate on toll free calls (where I wrote a specialized software program to prove the actual rebate) and inventory of private line circuits.

After forming Auditel in 1989 I became one of the world's leading expert in analyzing the telephone expense and income at major hotels around the world. Prior to the universal use of cell phones the PBX department of a hotel was a major cost and revenue department. I had the unique ability to both find errors in the phone bills and also to negotiate the settlement with the provider.Over the course of the years I provided this service, I was able to increase the bottom line of hotels by literally millions of dollars.In addition to the cost savings and revenue increases I was also able to increase the customer satisfaction of the guest by assuring that they had a true cost of their telecommunication use.

I was a pioneer in the Fax over IP (FoIP) industry. Originally I started a company called DataFax in 1995 which sent international faxes via a Store and Forward technology which I developed. With some partners I set up companies throughout the Caribbean where telephone rates were high to send send a fax, but much lower to dial into those countries. Later on I developed the technology to send the faxes via frame relay and the Internet on a Store and Forward basis. We implemented this technology in companies that were set up in UK and in Mexico.In 2000 I worked with a company called Quintum Technologies to perfect their product for real-time Fax over IP. I utilized the Quintum equipment to provide FoIP to Offshore Banks and Business in the Bahamas. CyberWorld was a licensed ISP in the Bahamas and it provided this service since fax was data and not voice (which was prohibited). The service that CyberWorld provided was called DataFax.
