Assistant Professor for the Division of Public Health in the Department of Medicine at UVM's Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine. Develops and teaches online, graduate-level, public health courses, including core and elective courses in environmental public health, global health, and health equity. Advises and mentors graduate students in conducting applied and collaborative research, and public health projects that advance population health science and practice.

Allies and Partner Force Development Division, J-7 Directorate for Joint Force Development. The APFDD provides direct collaboration and integration throughout the spectrum of joint force development and design to allow the Joint Staff, its Allies and partners to invest in required initiatives that ensure continued, interoperable and seamless operations in support of the National Military Strategy.

Oversaw Professional and Continuing Education (PACE), one of the oldest units of its kind in the country. PACE is responsible for managing crucial programmatic areas, including pre-college programs, university-wide summer programs, post-baccalaureate pathways, professional graduate degrees and certificates, non-credit professional certificates, workforce training programs, and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Provided strategic direction and leadership to a team of 50 full-time staff members and over 200 part-time instructors who administer a comprehensive professional and continuing education portfolio of programs with regional, national and international reach. Advised the President and Provost of important trends and initiatives in professional and continuing education and online learning as they related to the mission and goals of UVM.

Ensured programs and processes were aligned, properly supported and positioned to meet key performance indicators. Guided the day-to-day academic operations of PACE across all functional areas. Oversaw strategic portfolio alignment and management, market research, program evaluation and assessment, and the process of new program development. Provided leadership and supervision to the enrollment management team to secure enrollment targets for PACE programs. Worked with the PACE student services team to troubleshoot student issues and resolve cases. Acted as the PACE liaison to all associate deans across campus and the enrollment management senior leadership while serving as the Chief Officer’s representative at select administrative meetings.

Managed Professional and Continuing Education's (PACE) portfolio of 50+ educational programs through business planning, timeline development, and ongoing analysis of key performance metrics. A member of the organization's senior management team, collaborated with PACE colleagues to make timely programmatic decisions in support of organizational strategic goals.

Managed enrollment operations for Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) by planning and directing operational cycles, course build processes, and enrollment management analyses. Served as the unit liaison with UVM's Office of Institutional Research (OIR), Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), and the Registrar's Office to preserve data integrity and enable consistency in reporting. Developed data architecture for the organization’s evolving data collection needs and guided data integration processes across all PACE functional areas, including finance, customer service, marketing, IT, and project management.

Managed a portfolio of graduate and professional education programs within the Professional and Continuing Education department and Larner College of Medicine at UVM. Coordinated the logistics, budgets, general operations, and marketing efforts for the UVM Online Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, Post-baccalaureate Premedical Program, Summer Medical School Preparation Program, and the Health Career Pathways initiative, all of which served aspiring health professionals in the community and beyond.

Provided seamless integration, coordination, and synchronization between military forces and unified action partners, including stakeholders in academia, government, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Served as the lead (reserve element) civil affairs Observer-Coach/Trainer (OC/T) for the Combined Resolve XVII training exercise at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany.

Led and managed a Civil Affairs Company, consisting of 32 Soldiers and Officers, organized with five Civil Affairs Teams, a Civil-Military Operations Center, and Company Headquarters. Highlights from the command tenure: leading a team through the COVID-19 pandemic, establishing a consistent medical readiness rate above 95%, completing the tour with 100% fully mission capable vehicles, growing the unit in strength by 25%, and, most importantly, re-enlisting 8 amazing Non-Commissioned Officers. Promoted ‘Below Zone’ (1 year early) to the rank of Major, ranking in the top 4% of eligible USAR Captains in 2020.

Led over 130 civil engagement missions during a nine-month deployment in Northern Cameroon while improving health outcomes, student engagement, and infrastructure quality for thousands of residents across a city center and 15 of its peripheral villages. Team received personal accolades from the U.S. Ambassador to Cameroon for their seamless coordination between the Office of Security Cooperation, Defense Attache's Office, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), President's Malaria Initiative, and Department of State.

Managed a highly specialized, four-person, Civil Affairs Team, charged with conducting civil-military operations, including humanitarian and nation assistance, civil information management, and support to civil administrations. Maintained team combat readiness to train, mobilize, and rapidly deploy in support of natural disasters and multilateral military operations.

Led a mechanized infantry platoon, consisting of 40 personnel and 4 M2A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, earning the Battalion's 'Top Gun' status during Table VI Gunnery. Trained, advised, and mentored an Afghan National Army brigade staff in conducting counter-insurgency operations and assisted with their development of comprehensive operational plans to secure Kandahar Province. Rated #1 of 46 company grade officers in the Security Force Assistance Team task force during deployment to Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan.
