• I worked on Hadoop Yarn (Java), identified security holes and fixed them. I re-designed the downstream Jenkins infra with pre- and post-commit checks to ensure quality. • I worked on the Cloudera Data Engineering, a platform to run Apache Spark jobs and Airflow workflows in the cloud (AWS, Azure). The core component is written in Go. I identified performance and scalability issues and fixed them. I have already contributed a product idea: interactive spark shell.

• I designed a sophisticated, distributed system for processing network traffic of remote desktop protocols. Playing back remote sessions like a video (RDP, VNC, SSH, …) and making them searchable. The core component is written in C++ using the Qt framework. • I was in the architecture team, designing the event driven communication between services using RabbitMQ. I designed the index schema for Elasticsearch to perform well. • I deprecated a lot of legacy code, replaced an old Windows desktop application with a modern (Qt/Qml) cross platform alternative (Linux, Mac, Windows). • I designed and implemented an encrypted, compressed, seek-able video like protocol. • I implemented a heuristic to detect window titles and extract the text of the application using opencv, it worked in real-time up to 1080p. • Reduced the software bugs practically to zero in our components.

• A start-up experience: new office, team and project. • 1st place at the 24 hours programming competition at the University, we were only 2 people the other teams had 4. • 1st place at the “Hackathon” at the company 4 times, once we got the audience award also. These ideas made a huge impact on the product.
