Mechanical Design Engineer
Current• Conducting airflow analysis using CFD simulations to analyze and optimize the airflow within data center facilities• Thermal management: Evaluation of the thermal performance of data center components (servers, cooling systems and racks) to ensure optimal heat dissipation and prevent overheating• Rack layout optimization using CFD simulations to optimize the placement of server racks within the data center, considering factors such as airflow patterns, hotspots and energy efficiency• Cooling system design: Design and optimization of the cooling infrastructurefor data centers, including the selection of appropriate cooling technologies (e.g., air-based, liquid-based, or hybrid systems) based on CFD analysis and energy efficiency considerations• Heat and fire spread analysis using CFD simulations to evaluate the spread of heat and re within the data center. Also, spread of chemical species is taken into consideration• Data center noise analysis: sound pressure and vibro-acoustic calculations using Finite Element Method approach• Design and development of mechanical components for new data center solutions in 5G and Edge data center applications• Development of schematic, manufacturing and assembly drawings• Development of FAT, SAT procedures, manufacturing and maintenance manuals• Calculation of loading capacities and resistances of mechanical components and joints (welded, bolted, riveted...) using hand calculations and Finite Element Method approach• Sales support - solution development, quotations and solution presentations tocustomers
