This enabled me to teach fire intervention within a national programme designed by the fire service. I was keen not only to get involved in such a great intervention program but also to share my knowledge by instructing the local junior firefighters group. It is from that experience, with which I am still involved, that I went on to obtain a Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector qualification and have now realised that I want to pursue my goal of teaching, specifically furthering my capabilities in the field of Strength and Conditioning.I have been heavily involved in voluntary service with Rotary in Yorkshire since 2004. I have been president of my Rotaract club, a junior version of Rotary, and attended various conferences addressed by many world figures within the largest professional, service group in the world. I was fortunate to attend the International RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) in June 2009, a yearly event attended by only one hundred young professionals from around the world.
