Increased grain trading profit from $1M in 1996 to $6.5M in 2001.• Hedged daily flat price risk. • Managed Feed Grains Trading Group of 6 professionals, drviving $300M trades/year.• Responsible for three expansion projects that increased grain handle by 50%.SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS:Though motivational leadership and market analysis, led the development of an underperforming trading group into a profitable trading team that was annualy one of the top two teams. Doubled profits to over $2M in the first year and averaged more than $3.2M over a six year period by creating a team environment that challenged each team member to better communicate market dynamics through bi-weekly trade strategy meetings. Increased annual commodity handle and profits at two under utilized facilites through changes in management structure as well as redefined roles for on-site personnel. Increased annual volume 30% and increased average margins by 20% in the first year by changing the status quo philosophy to one of engaging local staff to understand the profit dynamics through constant communication of prevailing commodity markets, as well as encouraging local ownership of the marketing strategies and goals.
