Medical Laboratory Technician
CurrentAs a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), I conduct a variety of laboratory tests and analyses on samples such as tissue, blood, urine, and more, focusing on hematological, immunologic, and chemical diagnostic procedures. My role involves meticulously searching for crucial indicators to identify diseases' presence, absence, and progression through precise and efficient testing methods. I collaborate with physicians and specialists, providing them with accurate test results to aid in diagnoses and treatment planning.In addition to performing tests, my responsibilities include:- Transmitting test results to healthcare providers- Maintaining meticulous records of test findings- Collecting, preparing, and storing specimens- Educating patients about test procedures- Reviewing and validating samples collected by colleagues- Ensuring the quality and quantity of test samples- Preparing laboratory reagents and solutions- Upholding cleanliness and safety standards in the lab- Standardizing test protocols for consistent and reliable results- Calibrating equipment and establishing standard operating procedures- Utilizing automated and computerized instruments for multitasking testing processes.
