I'm an experienced environmental professional overseeing projects in the energy development and civil construction sectors. I have experience in site-wide coordination and environmental management: managing biologists, monitors and subcontractors, scheduling workload, permitting, technical and professional resource allocation, costing, earthwork coordination, regulatory approvals as well as compliance monitoring. I completed my Master's in Environment and Resource Studies focusing on the conservation and restoration of globally-rare alvar habitats. The research explored the reintroduction of fire as a disturbance mechanism to reset succession and influence native productivity and assembly while controlling processes of woody encroachment. My Bachelor's was multi-disciplinary in the fields of Development, Ecology, and Environmental Management. It focused on the capacitation of various conservation NGOs in Botswana; working collaboratively to conserve elephant populations and mitigate human-elephant conflict using innovative mechanisms. Elsewhere in Botswana, I was instrumental in bridging conservation and livelihood issues in a multi-million dollar proposal accepted by the United Nations Development Programme. I enjoy working with science-based organisations to protect and preserve natural heritage features, populations, and landscapes, while balancing the need for economic development.
