Working as a Power BI Visualisation Expert working on a global, multi product line Project. Working with teams across 7 Countries and 4 Continents, this includes internal permanent and contractors, external contracting teams and external clients. Day to day contact ranges from back end developers, Product Owners, BAs, External Clients and Heads of department/Directors.Lead on the creation of the brand guidelines for the entire projects Power BI Reports which is used in all product lines.Created the projects first Power BI reports connected to a tabular data model and then onboarded the external and internal Power BI developers for the other product lines, where I act as the first contact regarding the look and feel of dashboards, specialising in ensuring consistent UI across the varied product lines and best practices when implementing new features or design changes.The project contains generic Power BI reports suitable for masses and specialised ones. For the specialised reports I work directly with Heads of Department/Directors/business users to gather requirements and knowledge of the additional data sources used outside of the main database/tabular model. Using my knowledge of the project I create the specialised reports and road map their integration into the main model. Re-designing legacy BI reports in the project. Before doing a straight lift and shift of reports I meet with the relevant stakeholders and discuss where the legacy BI reports succeeded and fell short and then design the new project specific ones with the additional information to avoid replication of redundant reports.I demonstrate new reports and Power BI functionality to stakeholders and train users on how to use Power BI, both at a consumer level and a developer level.

I was contracted to gather business requirements and then implement a new BI front end using Power BI.My BI responsibilities included:• Engaging with Chiefs/Directors/Heads of departments within Procurement, Sales, Supply Chain and Production to create high level business requirements necessary for the various BI project streams sign off• Designing the report wireframes to feedback to business• Creating Procurement, Sales, Supply Chain and Production work stream process maps to improve the BI streams understanding of business processes• Working with the Solution Leads and back end developers to help write technical requirements• Creating interactive Power BI Reports for the Procurement, Sales, Supply Chain and Production work streams• Distribution and Management of Power BI Reports to over 200 users across 34 countries• User Acceptance Testing of Power BI Reports• Running Power BI User Training workshops to upskill internal users• Data Validation – Using SQL queries within SSMS to ensure the validity of data from connection to source with Local ERP owners to create accurate Group Level Power BI reports• Creating views using t-SQL within SSMS and then connecting them to Power BI to build reports• Creating and Supporting Power BI workspaces and reports• Supporting and editing Legacy BI system (QlikView)• Creating easy-to-understand entry level Power BI User Guides

This business is a niche Marketing, Digital and Communications Recruitment firm. My role focused on extracting data from their CRM System to create reports in excel monitoring their marketing campaigns, sales calls volume, value of work in progress, lost revenue, predicted revenue, potential revenue, top performers etc. and provide suggestions on how to improve business processes.
