With the pandemic hitting different people and impacting lives across the spectrum, I have been volunteering and helping to coordinate food parcels being delivered across the community. Some of the items have been donated from local supermarkets and then topped up with items from the Cash and Carry. In order to help keep things fresh I have also written and included a few recipe ideas and serving suggestions for different way to serve tinned ingredients.As we prepare for the winter months and the potential of further protective action form the government in the pandemic I have also batch cooked a number of oven ready meals to be delivered straight from the freezer to give that little helping hand to individuals and families to ensure they still have access to some hot meals.

ARU Students' Union operates across campuses in different cities in Essex and Cambridge. Working cross campus I was responsible for the retail and venues' teams keeping a commercial focus whilst providing a positive experience and student friendly offering for the licensed trade. As well as operating our own commercial spaces the students' union relies on maintaining excellent working partnerships with other local venues, authorities and stakeholders.I also coached and mentored elected officers, supporting them through their roles, and preparing them for life beyond the University sector.Throughout my time at ARU I sat on project management groups to design, deliver and operate a new catering venture as well as increase retail operating space. Each area of the business considered an ethical background delivering what was right for the whole stakeholder group, challenging the whole supply chain with a price focused objective and delivering a holistic approach to corporate and social responsibility.

Winchester Student Union has gone through major development and growth during my time. In Sept 2007 The Vault opened offering a multi-purpose entertainments venue a changeable variety of services from a coffee shop to night club with cinema and theatre performance space. One of my main focuses has been training and development of staff to make students more employable post University. Using the Best Bar None scheme as a framework to excellence I have integrated management theory with operational practice to line manage a team of up to 30 staff to offer a fun, safe and secure venue for all.

London 2012

A variety of security roles from the not so interesting static gaurding to people screening and vehicle searching. I also worked as part of the venue response team where I used communication skills to avoid and deter any 'unpleasant situations'. Working alongside the Police, Military personnel and Home Office officials I also assisted in protection duties of several VVIPs. It was an absolute honour to be involved and do my little bit for the Olympics for London 2012

Winchester

As an operational duty manager for the historic Pub I was able to take my skills as a part-time bar tender and develop them into Restaurant and Hotel management. With a strong focus on delivering excellence in customer service across the whole business I worked with suppliers for equipment changes and maintenance. Using my skills in event management the Pub celebrated it's 250th birthday with a community fair and gala party, fundraising for local causes within the ancient capitol.
