During 2005 and 2006 Tom served as President of the Asociación Borinqueña (Puerto Rican Association), the largest Hispanic nonprofit organization in Central Florida. In his position as President, he was able to establish a working definition of Operating Management and Strategic Leadership by examining the evolving roles of voluntary leaders in the organization. He developed and implemented business plans within areas and committees to assure financial growth and stability for the Association.
