Accountable for delivering the Airfield Transformation business case – primarily relocating significant portions of the existing estate as well as increasing overall capacity, through the design and development of new facilities. As such I am required to work with a high degree of autonomy in order to establish not just the physical product but to ensure the existing operational procedures are transferable to a [largely] single-Airfield solution.Adopting the ‘Client’ role as MAG’s representative for the Programme – guiding the delivery team and identifying other aspects of the MAG organisation that need to input in to the solution in order to deliver a successful product.Ensuring Gateway Reviews allow for beginning and end of stage engagement with key stakeholders, including the Project Sponsor across the Programme, other key stakeholders (eg: MAN SLT, ExCo and the MAG Board).The decision maker for change control (within defined parameters at the Project Level) and recognising when change within the Airfield Project Programme requires escalation and highlighting at a MAN-TP Programme level (and potentially SteerCo and in turn MAG Board).Designing physical solutions that enhance the customer experience provide superior products to drive higher [aero and non-aero] yields and increased revenues (in line or in excess of the business case) and promote efficient and effective operations.Ensuring MAG’s interests are considered across the Airfield Project(s) (primary responsibility) and across the Programme (secondary responsibility – as a senior member of the Programme Team)Chair the Airfield Project Boards, ensuring Airfield Project Issues/Risks/Decisions requirements affecting the wider Programme benefits/outputs are escalated to the Programme Board and beyond as necessary.Identifying risks and opportunities and ensuring these are correctly managed and/or exploited.
