I realized that when people greet each other, the exchange goes "Hi, How are you? Good, How are you? Good." Working with many team members and customers, I'm asked how I'm doing dozens of times daily. I realized that we're all just saying "Good" automatically, regardless of how we're actually doing. I figured instead of just saying "Good" I could say that I'm doing the best I could be doing. So now when asked how I'm doing, I say "100%! 10/10! Never been better! A+! Five Stars!"Sure, it's a mouthful, but it breaks up the monotony, establishes a connection, and most importantly, puts a smile on everyone's face. Nowadays, people who know me ask how I'm doing twice: Once to hear my spiel, and then once to actually find out.After graduating from the University of Central Florida, I left my management job, fell in love with the Scrum Framework for value delivery, and moved across to country to Denver, Colorado.
