Throughout my final year of study, I worked part-time in an Accounts Assistant position with Mainstream Renewable Power, building upon the skills I had learned during my 9-month internship at the same firm. My responsibilities in this role included:- Supporting the Accounts Manager to pay monthly invoices when they fell due.- Managing employee expenses to ensure they were paid on a monthly basis.- Assisting the Finance team with the Audit process throughout the company.- Supporting the Finance team with financial analysis of possible future partners.

I completed a 9-month Internship as part of my course work at Mainstream Renewable Power. This provided me with a fantastic insight into the world of commerce, as well as the potential for Renewable Energies. My roles included:- Provide general accounting support to the Group Finance Function;- Assist with general ledger and monthly reporting process;- Assist in closing AP for month end;- Assist in preparation of statutory financial statements;- Prepare further analysis of specific accounts, as required;- Support the annual budget process;- Support the audit process;- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of internal controls, processes and financial systems, ensuring Mainstream global processes and controls are adhered to;- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and be a key support resource for the Head of Tax.

Over the course of the Summer 2017, I spent the Summer months working as a soccer coach for children's summer camps in Texas/Louisiana, USA. This was a wonderful experience for me to grow and learn about a new culture. Some of my responsibilities included:- Planning each session to ensure children were learning whilst having fun.- Organised the successful running of ten camps over my time in the States, with zero incident reports.
