About Tommy Vines

Hello! My name is Tommy Vines, and I am an actor, playwright, screenwriter, poet, movement artist, director, producer, and theatre maker. I am a self-producing multi-modal artist that is compelled to tell stories, in many different forms, in as many ways as I can.In my creative work, I embrace what is totally human. I embrace every truth I can. I embrace all of the human condition, all of my internal life. My work seeks to bring audiences into the present moment with me so we can be saved through the unyielding, beautiful, and demanding surrender to performance. In breathing together, we create something beautiful.I have a multitude of skills that support the work that I do: - Driven Self-Starter; LeadershipI wrote, directed, produced, and played the lead role in my play called "i love you and i always will or charlie's play," which was originally produced at the Joan & Edgar Booth Theatre in Boston, MA (September 2023). It is now moving to the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater, an Off-Broadway house in Manhattan, NYC (July 2024). - Time and Resource ManagementI have never been late to a rehearsal, performance, or professional obligation.
