I am a builder's attorney. Before I became an attorney, I wore out pairs of Red Wing boots on jobsites in a construction management career that includes over 100 projects built. I have been an owner's representative, general contractor, construction manager, design builder, and subcontractor. I know how proper planning leads to a successful project. I have built schedules; drawn and produced construction documents; solicited bids and built estimates; bid work; and earned contracts. And I know how proper implementation of the plan protects your profit margin. I have priced and executed change orders; enforced safety mandates; submitted and reviewed pay applications; performed punch-lists; and closed out projects. I am a construction business owner's attorney. As the former owner and operator of a commercial design-build construction company, I understand the business side of the industry like few lawyers do.
