I work in weather science, specifically in Research to Operations (R2O). As part of this team I help develop, deliver and coordinate updates to the numerical weather prediction suite used by forecasters. This means working closely with teams across the office to deliver these improvements effectively.

This role meant being part of a team who inform and assist members of the public who are required to self isolate. There were often queries in regards to the isolation advice provided and we worked with senior officers and leads in the track and trace service to resolve any issues that arose.

This role required a large amount of teamwork to keep the efficiency of the kitchen at its best. I was the main point of communication between the customers and the kitchen staff. Therefore, my communication had to be completely clear for all. At busy periods, this required keeping a calm head in order to convey information effectively. I was responsible.

This role involved providing Welsh translation for documents sent to the student union. Me and a small team of 3 others were responsible for all documents sent to the union. These included student correspondence from the union, event posters, flyers etc. Welsh translation was often the last thing needed before the documents went out so there was often.

Llangrannog, West Wales

In this role I was part of a large team of activities officers leading a group of around 30 children on each activity in the youth centre. These included trampolining, a high ropes course, quad-biking and even horse riding. Ensuring the safety of the children was paramount and thus we gave a briefing before every activity, checked the safety individually.
