I have been instructed by institutions and corporates in relation to a variety of complex disputes and by individuals for discreet, high value and complex matters. I have spent time working in house at a global asset manager. The Commercial Litigation department act in some of the most high-profile and ground-breaking cases in the UK. Our clients include FTSE 100 companies, Fortune 500 and other international corporations, as well as institutional investors, foreign governments, public bodies and individuals.We are conflict free, enabling us to act for our clients against global banks and multinationals.I have considerable experience working with funders and insurers and structuring cases to minimise downside risk for claimants. I have acted on some of the most substantial and high profile securities actions and group litigation in England in recent years including the RBS rights issue litigation, the Tesco litigation and the Ingenious Litigation. Matters I have been engaged on include:- acting for an investment bank in relation to a substantial global dispute involving allegations of fraud;- acting for parties involved in a £1bn+ tax dispute with the Danish government;- acting for a sovereign wealth fund in relation to a sanctions dispute;- advising in relation to a $3bn financing dispute arising from an industrial project in North Africa; - acting for 313 institutions, including global asset managers and pension funds, against the Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc in a claim arising from the bank's £12bn Rights Issue in 2008;- acting for 132 individuals and organisations in a claim against Morgan Stanley involving structured notes;- acting for a hedge fund in relation to a dispute arising from complex derivatives; - acting for a global investment bank in an arbitration claim against a multinational arising from a complex structured product.
