I used to create pure art and published a manifesto on artificial intelligent art in the MIT Journal of Art & Technology before the AI wave. I still consider myself an artist – but my new medium is business, and I figure out what it takes to win. To drive profitable growth doing something meaningful. To have the grit to make it succeed. To respect and treat each other with kindness. My journey took a turn in the last few years, when I started experiencing daily chronic migraines, along with a slew of other unpleasant symptoms; I was barely functioning. My resilience kicked in, and I started treating my health like my startup: I saw Western doctors, took non-conventional approaches like extreme diets, took classes on medicine at Stanford, and even had spiritual journeys around the world. I’m now functioning even better than ever — and with more compassion. I’m building again with the aim of preventing and treating illness – and helping others live with more energy and joy. My last company scaled to half a million users. Next up? Millions more.
