Owner of Schaal Realty Advisors, a firm that provides commercial real estate advisory, brokerage, entitlement and development services for real estate owners and investors. Services include acquisition, financial analysis and proformas, value-add and asset re-positioning for existing real estate, leasing, financing, build-to-suit and spec development, mapping and entitlements. Recently completed leasing, stabilizing and selling approximately 350,000 sf of Class A office, entitled a 450,000 sf life science project in Brisbane, and entitled, mapped and sold approximately 320 acres of industrial land in Northern California. Prior direct development experience includes over 10 million sf of spec and build to suit office, R&D/flex, distribution warehouse, and retail. Currently developing a 171,000 sf spec industrial distribution project with New York Life Real Estate Investors in Contra Costa county, a 252,000 sf spec industrial project in Vacaville and a 385,000 sf spec project in West Sacramento with Dermody Properties. Recently brokered and closed multifamily sales in Davis and Rocklin, CA.

During the real estate recession from 2009 - 2012, expanded and elevated the company platform by re-building the company website and all marketing materials, and implemented a public relations program. Thermal Roof Systems is exclusively a spray polyurethane commercial roofing company. Named the 4th fastest growing company in Sacramento by the Sacramento Business Journal in 2009/2010.

Worked on gathering and evaluating due diligence documentation for Bank of America relative to foreclosed commercial real estate assets.

Responsible for business sourcing, development, disposition and bottom line profit. Successfully developed and leased six Class A mid-rise office projects totaling over 660,000 square feet. Successfully entitled, built, leased and sold over 700,000 square feet of retail along with numerous pad sales and ground leases. Successfully acquired a 470 acre industrial park.

Responsible for all aspects of development and bottom line profit for the 670 acre Southport Business Park in West Sacramento. Handled all aspects of development, including infrastructure, speculative and build-to-suit development of industrial, office and retail projects, land sales to users, entitlements and Mello Roos Bond financing. Built and successfully leased and sold over 1 million square feet of office and industrial projects, and sold approximately 180 acres of land to end-users.

Responsible for all aspects of development and bottom line profit for the 655 acre Port Sacramento Industrial Park, 62 acre Greenhaven Executive Park, 32 acre Tributary Point mixed use project (in JV with Weyerhauser), 30 acre North Market Business Center and acquisition, entitlements and planning of the 120 acre SAVI Ranch project in Yorba Linda, CA. Built over 2 million square feet of office, industrial and retail product and sold over 400 acres to end-users.
