Collaborating with the Philanthropy & Partnerships team, I forge strategic creative partnerships with entities like the Natural History Museum, The Mill Creative Agency and Outernet Global. Collaborating with Policy & Advocacy teams I lead and co-lead strategic, integrated communications campaigns in the UK & internationally, particularly in key African regions with partners such as the Gates Foundation, African Leaders Malaria Alliance, and WHO. I also cross-org in developing relationships with key global health and SDG partners such as Freuds+ and Goals House.Overseeing PR and media, I manage the Ambassador Relations team in London and Nairobi and coordinate with key agency partners globally including leading global ad agency, dentsu.

I provide a broad range of services to In Place of War (IPOW), most significantly with governance and leadership support as a trustee, introducing strategic high value partners and networks, managing programmes of work internationally and facilitating strategic partnerships. I have supported the development of IPOW’s strategic and operational plans, and lead their re-branding process and PR/visual content strategy. I have stewarded a year-long programme in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation in Uganda focused on Creative and Social Entrepreneur Training for youth, and spent time in the field for IPOW in Israel-Palestine, Greece, Uganda, Zimbabwe and South Africa building and managing partnerships and delivering programmes for young people in challenging communities. I also help developed processes and methods for evaluating their work more accurately.

Working with the Director of Communications, Department Heads and other Senior Managers to lead the management of the Ambassador Relations team and the strategic development of UNICEF UK’s ambassadors, high profile supporters and influencers to support UNICEF's organisational priorities to fundraise, advocate and communicate for children everywhere. I lead the work of the UNICEF UK Music Group, made up of some of the most influential music industry professional in the UK, chairing meetings and setting strategic objectives. Through this I successfully negotiation a new strategic partnership with Outernet Global, worth £750,000, as well as the Blue Vinyl fundraising project, securing partnerships with major record labels to print an ultra-limited set of albums by some of the biggest recording artists of our time including Prince, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, David Bowie, Little Mix and many more. As the lead for our partnership with David Beckham, I led the day-to-day stewardship and engagement with him and his team, resulting in over £3 million raised for UNICEF.

GIRLS NOT BRIDES: THE GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP TO END CHILD MARRIAGE Project Manager, high-level mission to Mozambique, implementing a high level advocacy visit to Mozambique for Mabel van Oranje, Chair of Girls Not Brides, as part of the global goal to end Child Marriage.Over-seeing and coordinating a team of communications, policy and operations staff in London, Maputo and Nairobi. Managing project budget, as well as coordination with local partners, government, donors and civil society and total event and security management of multiple round-table and media events. Managing the monitoring and evaluation process for the project, including tracking team goals, outcomes and outputs pre, during and post mission.Writing – producing Operations manual for international high level diplomatic and advocacy missions.WOMAD FESTIVALSCommissioned to write feasibility report and advise on strategic planning – identifying key areas for consideration around delivering a high profile, multi-arts international cultural festival in the West Bank, Palestine. Particular focus areas: political, reputational and security risks assessment; maintaining independence; understanding local business cultures, opportunities and practices; insurance implications and over-all political situation.GENERAL ADVISOR TO LIVERPOOL CITY COUNCIL – Nelson Mandela Memorial Campaign Advising and representing Liverpool City Council’s ‘Nelson Mandela Memorial Campaign’ – a major public art-piece and education programme in central Liverpool that will link the city to the legacy of Nelson Mandela. Helping to attract influential attention to the campaign, I secured endorsement for the project from the Nelson Mandela Foundation and Desmond and Leah Tutu Foundations based in Johannesburg, South Africa. I continue to work with the campaign organisers to secure new influential partnerships, fundraising opportunities and endorsements from UK business leaders and influencers.

I worked under the Chairmanship of Nobel Laureate Desmond Tutu followed by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. The Elders is an independent group of eminent global leaders brought together by Nelson Mandela, who offer their collective influence and experience to help resolve conflicts, address major causes of human suffering and promote the shared interests of humanity. The Elders were co-founded by Sir Richard Branson and musician Peter Gabriel, who remain active with The Elders as Trustees and Advisory Council members.Working one-to-one with the 12 individual Elders and their teams, the organisation’s Advisory Council, its CEO and Senior Management Team (SMT), I provided strategic leadership and practical support to The Elders and its secretariat. I played a pivotal role in planning The Elders’ Strategic Framework and coordinating office practices and procedures. In addition I lead on implementing and delivering first class missions, programmes, meetings and events for some of the most eminent global leaders of our time all over the world. These include multiple missions to North Korea, Israel-Palestine, Myanmar, India, UN P5 capitals, UN General Assemblies, North and South Sudan, Syria and Brazil to name a few. Previous special tasks – Girls Not Brides The Elders always has the rights of women and girls at the heart of everything it does. As part of my work at The Elders, between 2010 – 2013 I was involved in the founding and setting up of Girls Not Brides, a global partnership of 600+ civil society organisations committed to ending child marriage and enabling girls to fulfil their potential. Girls Not Brides was incubated by The Elders, and has gone on to become an independent global NGO.
