Multidisciplinary leader in technology, government relations, corporate governance and legal matters with the training, experience and network to organize and execute tasks in a multitude of settings and circumstances.Tom brings more than 30 years of experience in a wide variety of disciplines and leadership roles such as corporate and legal management, government and academic leadership, and corporate governance and oversight, including positions at the Grainger Institute for Engineering, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, the BloodCenter of Wisconsin, Adaptive Spectrum & Signal Alignment Inc., and with a variety of industry-leading clients. Tom has served clients and other organizations through his high-level work in Wisconsin and Silicon Valley, and elsewhere throughout and beyond the United States.In his countless technology-based roles, Tom is recognized as a creative, motivated, hard-working team member delivering deep proficiency, versatility and experience in basic science and engineering, digital and electronic hardware and software, security systems, communications, and mechanical systems. Tom utilizes this broad technical expertise and adaptability in settings involving management, strategic planning, product development, licensing and contractual tasks, litigation oversight and cost control, and dispute avoidance and resolution.Tom earned a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics, electrical engineering and physics and a Juris Doctor, both from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and also attended the U.S. Air Force Academy. Tom has supplemented his technical education with additional studies at the Milwaukee School of Engineering and he is a member of the bar of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Tom teaches and is a featured speaker in academic, engineering, business and legal venues at UW-Madison, Marquette University and in numerous other professional settings. He and his family reside in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin.
