I am Arbolus' global head of legal and compliance and its sole legal counsel. In this capacity, I have established the company’s legal and compliance department and designed its compliance programme. I drive legal and compliance initiatives and provide strategic guidance to senior leadership. I manage risk by identifying potential legal and compliance issues and implementing measures to mitigate them, ensuring the group companies operate within legal boundaries while maximising business opportunities. My prior experience, as an attorney at a Wall Street law firm in London, includes having represented individuals and corporations across various sectors (financial services, energy, mining, and information technology) and different jurisdictions (40+ countries). My in house experience from the Financial Conduct Authority's Enforcement and Market Oversight (EMO) division includes having advised on and conducted complex regulatory, civil and criminal investigations. Currently based in Barcelona, Spain, I have also lived and worked in the U.K., Argentina, Brazil, and other countries in mainland Europe. I am fluent in English, Spanish, Slovak, Czech, and Portuguese, which enhances my ability to communicate effectively across our diverse teams and with our clients around the world.
