I play a pivotal role in the meticulous production of The Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), a pivotal weekly epidemiological digest published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States. This involves precise editing of data visuals to align with MMWR brand standards, formatting intricate tables, and ensuring the punctual delivery of high-quality products. Such unwavering adherence to standards is essential for upholding the MMWR's esteemed reputation as a reliable source of public health information.In collaboration with stakeholders, I apply my expertise in design and compliance standards to the intricate task of creating and maintaining PDFs that strictly adhere to PDF/UA requirements. This process involves leveraging Adobe Acrobat and InDesign, complemented by thorough manual checks and hands-on remediation.Beyond my contributions to MMWR, my involvement with the Division of Digital Media is extensive, spanning campaigns, motion graphics, media campaigns, and branding initiatives.Furthermore, I have seamlessly integrated AI into my workflow. This strategic use of AI technology has proven invaluable in elevating custom artwork and visual concepts tailored for conceptual design campaigns.
