(Hands on) Engineering Manager of the Contracts Experience team, who was working on the language that contract writers would use to create their financial products. The stack was GoLang and Python, and gRPC.My role included on the one hand mentoring team members individually as well as helping the Engineering Director on structuring the team and setting processes that would help the team perform better in a healthier way. In Catalog Business Experience we help small, medium, and large businesses to manage their product inventories with different ingestion systems depending on their needs, so they can then sell their products through FB and IG.As a TL some of my responsibilities are to help define target metrics and drive the team's roadmap to move them, track the progress of projects over time to make sure we can reach our goals, help the team in executing them - PMing when needed, coordinating with the Extended Team (designers, content, QA, data...), as well as executing some projects myself - and act as a point of contact for collaborations with partners. Additionally, I am mentoring some of the team members too.

As part of the Engineer Productivity team we are integrating with other developer teams aiming to improve their code quality and productivity by improving their tests suite and testing practices, introducing TDD, implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment, creating dashboards to show current code quality metrics, etc. The team, full of very senior engineers, is playing an essential role in the transformation that Schibsted is undergoing.The stack we worked on was Java, Scala, and GoLang, Travis, Spinnaker, Docker and Kubernetes.I have created and owned the Quality Gate, a service that, integrated with the CI system and GitHub, evaluates code changes, measuring the number of new issues introduced, the code coverage difference, etc. The tool has been integrated in a high percentage of projects in all Schibsted, not only in Barcelona but all over the world. As the owner I set the goals of the project, prioritize the tasks, and distribute them with the rest of the team.We have seen great improvements in the teams we have been working with, but the part that satisfies me the most is how much their development culture changes.

As part of the new cross functional team we worked close to the rest of the teams maintaining and improving the current system, which is composed of Spring and Hibernate for the core and PHP Zend Framework as the frontend. Also, the team worked alone on some projects:- Writing automation tests with Selenium, Capybara, Rspec and Cucumber, integrated with SauceLabs, covering all core and important user cases of the main web application.- Implementing a company registration flow.
