Working in this area for a decade, obtaining a bachelors and first class Honours degree in science from the University of Adelaide then embarking on a PhD in the climate change sector at the University of Melbourne.While at the University of Melbourne began teaching undergraduate classes, lecturing as well as developing and conducting tutorials. Also working in the lab and field for preeminent scientific organisations including CSIRO. These positions have provided a unique perspective when solving design problems and carrying on the rigour, precision and accuracy which developed into a new career.Craving a more tangible impact in the world, leaving academia and entered the charity and non-profit sector, helping to set up a registered charity (Project Kolkata) providing schooling, meals and medical aid children in extreme poverty in India, as well as own initiative (Street Wardrobe) which took surplus quality Icebreaker outdoor clothing and distributed it to the homeless in Melbourne.This new direction led to moving to the UK and taking up the position of Director of Logistics and Workplace Experience at the Centre For Effective Altruism in Oxford, UK. It was here, at this organisation that promotes the most effective charitable giving practices, that a love for office design was discovered.
