This was an interesting and challenging role that had many key responsibilities. Primarily I was responsible for the millions of records of PII that passed through the systems each year at Liberty Services. To manage and maintain this amount of data it is my responsibility to analyse, develop, implement and maintain an Information Security Management System (ISMS).It was my responsibility to build the ISMS from the ground up and take the company to certification against a recognised against ISO 27001. In turn this delivered many organisational benefits such as:• ISO 27001 Certification• N3 (PSN) Compliance• The overall business exposure to IS related risks significantly reduced to an acceptable level• DR/BC Plan and testing schedule implemented• Information Security Training programme implemented• Disaster recovery site implemented• Information security policies and procedures developed• Information security incident management process implemented• Network resilience
