Karson Management, Chief Operating Officer: Collaborated and advised on development of patented security issuance platform to support regulatory capital and collateral requirements for the US life insurance sector. Curvematch, Founder & Managing Director: Co-founded company to develop an electronic broking platform for credit derivatives, specifically matching single name delta positions traded between correlation desks.

Brought in to lead a team of 15 Structurers with budgeted annual revenues of over €100M. Lead execution, reviewed and reorganised teams and trading activities, standardised deal execution methodology and enhanced efficiency by consolidating teams to eliminate duplication.

Assumed lead on negotiation and execution of bilateral loans and securities financing for Eastern European, Middle East and African clients. Led company credit and collateral security analysis on potential borrowers, economics negotiation process, and co-ordination with trading and distribution teams.

Moved from Business Management to Front Office trade leadership. Identified opportunity and created credit repackaging business to include defeasance trades, credit linked notes, loan participation notes and derivative- based structures. Specialised in interpretation and application of regulatory and accounting requirements.

As Head of Product Control from 1994 to 1997 ran daily finance process for all activity across credit trading desks in EMEA. Recruited and trained Product Control teams. Then, following a posting to New York to close down their structured trading desk, which involved risk identification and exit of all open positions, returned to London and oversaw rapid expansion in derivatives business. Adapted and developed controls framework, specified new systems, managed costs and migrated ISDA Definition confirmation process to maximise revenues.

Followed classic route to ACA qualification with Big Four firm, working in business assurance and audit for a client base of financial institutions and smaller companies.
