I served 4 years on active duty in the U.S. Army as a Psychological Operations Sergeant (Airborne). I deployed twice to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I have been serving with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department since 2008. I worked 7 years in patrol, 6 years as a detective with the Crimes Against Children Unit under the Special Victims Division, and I am currently a recruiter/background investigator. I co-coordinate the SmartDollar program for CMPD as part of department's employee wellness initiative. I also teach Financial Peace University at my church and provide financial coaching services.
