Leads the organization in establishing and extending programs to support equitable economic development throughout the Lansing region. With the goal of creating a stronger, more competitive economy that works for all; Tony works to dismantle barriers and expand opportunities for low-income people, communities of color, and other underrepresented groups.

As Director of the New Economy Division for LEAP, Tony establishes and extends programming for entrepreneurship and innovation throughout the Lansing region. With the goal of creating a culture of entrepreneurship, Tony works with local, regional, and state resources assist individuals and startups to launch products and companies.

As President of Proto Accelerator I am charged with the development and growth of the state of Michigan's first startup accelerator focused on hardware/physical product startups, and the only accelerator in Michigan focused on insurtech startups. Responsibilities include coordinating efforts with corporate partners in both the manufacturing and insurance industries, developing programming that supports startup growth and scalability of investment companies, and establishing opportunities for additional funding and assistance for startup clients.

As the Manager of Business Acceleration it is my role to assist business owners and entrepreneurs to get their ideas from concept to market. Helping businesses tap into the vast amount of resources greater Lansing has to offer whether it is the Business Accelerator Fund, business pitch competitions, local incubators, and other programs.•Support the LEAP program evaluation process, through client surveys and one on one meetings.•Establish business mentorship programming for client companies.•Recruit startup businesses to utilize business incubators in the Region.•Recruit and support startup companies in their path to business model competitions and/or business pitch competitions.•Provide business development support to clients and partner organizations.•Track and maintain business intelligence and metrics of clientele.•Develop and prepare monthly reporting on business development activity.•Support and coordination of business startup related events. •Assist in the expansion of startup business support programming offered through LEAP•Develop and maintain annual budgets.
