Highlights of my career as a Radiographer and Previous Instructor by Tonya J. Jackson, B.S., R.T. (R)Registered Radiographer for 30 years and was employed by Wake Technical Community College for 15 years. I graduated from Mount Olive College in August of 2013 with a Bachelor of Science-Business Administration-Management and Organizational Development Degree. Assistant Professor at Wake Technical Community College since 2014.Served as an Academic Advisor.Lead or co-lead and planned activities for RAD 251 or RAD 261 Post Clinical Conference in the spring and fall semesters since 2004.Maintained the marker inventory for Faculty and staff of the college’s Radiography program.Assisted with training of new clinical instructors at WakeMed, a level one trauma center, as directed by the college’s Radiography program director.Member of the Radiography Program Assessment Committee since 2013.Served on the Open House committee for the Perry Health Science Campus.Volunteered as team captain for the Wake Tech Radiography American Heart walk team for 2016 and 2017 Triangle Heart Walk.Served on the Radiography scholarship review committee.To further student success and create a diverse learning environment, I have attended On Course classes available through Wake Technical Community College.Completed the yearly continuing education requirements required as an employee at Wake Technical Community College.Contributed to providing documents for accreditation by the JRCERT on two different occasions in the past 14 years. Encouragd my students to use critical thinking skills. Performedscenarios with the students to learn efficient vfc imagingCompleted Starfish progress surveys as another way of communicating and promoting student retention.Served as 2018-2019 Secretary for the North Carolina Society of Radiologic TechnologistsPrevious experience working at an orthopedic office and an outpatient medical facility in my early years as a Radiologic Technologist
