Began my position with UNC HEALTH in the Neuro/Neurological ICU. I also worked I at the hospice house

Facilitated Stroke Program goals and objectives. Assists in the development and updating hospital wide staff and patient, family education programs. Collaborates with Regional, State, and National Partners for Stroke Coordinator. Serves as lead and prepares agendas, minutes and attachments for theStroke Committee Meetings. Provides analysis of Stroke Program data to the Stroke, Medicine/Family, Emergency Department and Performance Improvement Committees. Assess, compile, analyze Stroke Program data in compliance with Joint Commission Stroke Core Measures. Facilitate in preparationfor Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center Readiness. Serves as resource for Stroke Care in the hospital. Serves as outreach coordinator for community based stroke education and risk screening referral. Implements Stroke Risk Identification Screening Program. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with the medical community, public health department and other community agencies. Prepares annual appraisal of Stroke Program.Assisted in the obtainment of Get With the Guidelines, Stroke Gold Plus.

Provided direct patient care for patients of neurological illness and disease, on an intermediate level of care. Experience with PICC lines, and central lines. Competent in phlebotomy and intravenous line insertion. Experience in continuous EEG monitoring, spinal cord injury. Experience in monitoringpatients on intravenous cardiac medications. Participated in various events such as Wolves and Wine, Wildlife Weekend. Provided education to visitors on the importance of wolves in our ecosystem.
