Over the next few years I organised user training and installed a LAN and new communication systems connected to the company's worldwide telex (later E mail) network. I remained in charge of all UK systems matters until moving to Rotterdam in 1992 (see below).In 1989, I was requested to take a leading role in the setting up of logistics facilities for major liner customers with supporting operational and administrative systems. In particular, I set up and became General Manager of a North UK Container logistics subsidiary.In 1992 my department was relocated to Rotterdam to oversee projects / budgets across Europe. In 1995 I developed a complete computerised stock control / documentation / EDI / invoicing / Customs system for the North UK subsidiary to replace and integrate the previous incompatible systems.
