HomeScreen was an online DVD rental business modelled on Netflix in the US. We were funded by Hoyts and Consolidated Press Holdings. In the relative infancy of the market in Australia we grew quickly and sold the company to the listed Quickflix in 2005.

I ran Yahoo!'s businesses in India, Singapore, Australia & NZ.

I was the first employee of Yahoo! in Australia & NZ, and built the business from scratch to be one of the top two portals. It co-incided with the birth of online and was very much a trail-blazing role. I led all aspects of the business and assembled a talented team, which invested in both Seek and CarSales - both of which went on to dominate their respective classifieds categories.

I worked for VNU for more than a decade, joining as a Sales Executive on the weekly newspaper Computing in 1983 -- and leaving as Publisher of three networking titles (Network, Connections & pclan) in 1995. In between I learned sales, sales management, circulation, editorial and publishing. The company dominated business publishing in this era, particularly in technology.
