Event Production Manager for Bournemouth University Summerball. The summerball is a one day festival event comprising of 8 stages with an attendance of 7500 students. • Planning and practical delivery of the technical elements of the Summerball.• Planning and designing lighting, sound and AV systems.• Draft house-rig LX and ground plans. • Lead on planning and designing power distribution, site lighting, and site sound systems • Lead teams in the installation of all such systems.• Recruit temporary festival stage managers and volunteers • Act as lead Production Manager for extra projects, festivals and events.• Attend and participate in any licensing and planning meetings as necessary. • Manage production budgets.• Source and contract third-party suppliers as required, obtaining quotations to ensure best value for money for the organisation.• Produce kit lists, production schedules and all other related paperwork such as risk assessments, technical specs and CAD plans.• Write risk assessments and method ensuring that Health and Safety policies and Licensing requirements are adhered to at all times.• Ensure that all parties involved in the delivery of the projects are both familiar and compliant with the Health and Safety policy and all associated policies, procedures and methods of working.
