Creative lead and day-to day project manager on a wide range of brand, communication and digital programmes for world class organisations to SMEs, private and public sector. Extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of brand creation and management.Rigorous and effective design process and definition workshops help us to fully understand our clients and to gain insight into what makes them, or what they do, special, which in turn drives our highly creative work. From working with meteorologists to help explain the science behind the weather and climate, to gaining consensus across a number of stakeholders in a fast growing law practice. Regular contracts with agencies in the Bristol/Bath area as well as establishing my own direct client base offering consultancy and creative services. This included a six month contract with The Junction, an agency specialising in design projects for education and tourism.

Design Manager working as an integral part of the Marketing Executive. Management of a total refresh of the BRT brand identity and its consequent transition, as the company was privatised and became part of the Racal Electronics Group. Creative lead – reviewing and updating all creative output, liaising directly with management and internal clients, as well as managing the output of external design consultancies and suppliers.

Worked alongside the creative head in the development and consistent application of the local government’s design standards across its wide remit of services (from housing, social services and finance through to leisure services and community relations). This also included managing the creation and roll out of campaigns for summer festivals and other special events. Whilst working within the public sector required a different mindset and was a challenging learning curve, the consultancy/educational role I undertook in proved very rewarding. Working with department executives to promote the benefits of design and brand proved developed key relationship and interaction skills. Gained professional membership to the Chartered Society of Designers.

Extended my knowledge of brand identity and communications in my role in this small consultancy – taking projects from creative concepts through to production. Progressed to a senior designer position during my time here and played a significant role in the company’s transition to digital design and artwork.

Creation of title sequences and supporting information-based graphics for a range of Open University programmes and productions. Good grounding in television media, moving image, research and on-screen graphics.
