Antonio “Tony” Lima is a seasoned, bilingual, professional with over 20-years-experience in crafting and executing award-winning advocacy, marketing and public relations programs, leveraging governmental support, developing effective fundraising strategies and attracting meaningful media attention for the work he champions.Tony is currently the Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director of SunServe, a major non profit organization in South Florida focused on helping people. Recognizing that the entire LGBTQ community has the right to quality care, SunServe’s mission is to provide critical life assistance and professional mental health services with an emphasis on economically disadvantaged, marginalized youth, adults and seniors in the greater South Florida metropolitan area.Most recently, Tony was the Managing Director of SL7 Strategies in Miami and was also serving as Chief Executive Officer for Arianna’s Center/Translatina Florida. With SL7 Tony was in charge of expanding SL7’s communications and public affairs capabilities throughout South Florida. With Arianna’s Center, Tony was in charge of developing organizational infrastructure, designing effective development strategies and expanding the organization’s reach and transgender focused services throughout the State. Tony was also Executive Director of SAVE, Florida's longest-serving LGBTQ advocacy organization, a position he assumed in 2013. Under his leadership, SAVE secured the most significant wins towards LGBTQ equality in the organization’s 26-year history, this helped SAVE reach a new level of relevance, success and Tony has received various recognitions and accolades both nationally and locally, including “Top Latino Leader” by Latino Leaders Magazine in 2013, a national business publication. In 2013, he was also recognized as a “Top 20 Under 40” by Brickell Magazine. In 2014, the City of Miami Beach’s Mayor and Commission proclaimed September 3rd, "Tony Lima Day" in the municipality. Tony was also named Best Activist in Miami-Dade County for three years in a row (in 2016, 2017 and 2018) by South Florida Gay News. In 2018, Tony completed the National Rockwood Fellows Leadership Program. Also, the Miami Dolphins honored him with the NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award. Finally in 2019, The Pride Center and The Harvey Milk Foundation gave him the Diversity Honor Award and Tony was named one of the Top 50 Business Leaders in Florida, by the Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In 2020, Tony was appointed to the Miami-Dade County inaugural LGBTQ Advisory Committee.
