The Buckhead Community Improvement District (BCID) is a commercial tax assessment district in the Buckhead market in Atlanta. The BCID leverages local dollars against outside funding sources in order to plan, design, and/or construct infrastructure and services for area investors. Efforts include road, streetscape, trail, greenspace, beautification and commuter services, along with planning efforts to attract and/or facilitate additional public and private investments, including rail transit and other market needs. The BCID works closely with public entities, such as City of Atlanta and Georgia DOT and its departments, to accomplish its endeavors.Responsible for the successful oversight of an annual portfolio of projects and programs focused around congestion relief, mobility and sustainability which are funded by the BCID and Livable Buckhead, Inc. Founding leader of a membership dues effort that led to an initial 30% increase in revenue with a yearly 20% increase year to year. The Perimeter Community Improvement Districts (PCIDs), representing both the Central (DeKalb) and Fulton Perimeter CIDs, are self-taxing districts that use additional property taxes to help accelerate needed transportation and infrastructure improvement projects. The PCIDs are leading the charge to implement vital transportation enhancements coupled with land use and zoning strategies that will enhance mobility and improve access to the Perimeter activity center.Provided leadership in the oversight of an annual portfolio of projects and programs focused around congestion relief and mobility which were funded by the PCIDs.
